About me
Introduction about myself
Web Developer · Paros, Greece
Background
Hey, I'm Antonis Skandalis, and I've been building web applications for 10 years. I'm based in Paros, Greece, and work with clients locally and remotely. What keeps me engaged is the challenge of creating interfaces that feel intuitive and perform well under real-world conditions.
I've worked at startups and bigger companies, and I care a lot about writing clean code and building things that scale. I mostly use React and TypeScript, but I'm happy to jump into the full stack when it's needed. If you need a website, web app, or custom software — get in touch.
When I'm not shipping features, you'll find me tinkering with new tech, crafting a new idea, traveling to new places or just playing piano.

My Values
What resonates with me
-
Default to transparency
I choose transparency as a way to work and collaborate. Sharing context early, writing down decisions, and being honest about trade-offs helps everyone move in the same direction.
-
Improve consistently
I strive to get better every day, not in competition with others but with my past self. Small, steady improvements in code, process, and communication compound over time.
-
Ownership & autonomy
My time and focus matter. I want to own the things I build and have a say in what I work on, not just execute someone else's backlog without input.
-
Show gratitude
I'm grateful for the tools, teams, and opportunities that make this work possible. I try to give back through mentoring, open source, and clear documentation.
-
Choose optimism
I assume good intent and believe that hard problems can be solved with the right approach and collaboration. Constructive feedback and honest dialogue are part of that.
-
Value over hours
I believe the time I spend working is, at best, indirectly related to the value of what I create. I want to collaborate with others who are just as passionate about the work as I am.
